Vraj Vihari Dasa joined ISKCON in 1976 as a student at the University of Michigan. He served as a brahmacari (monk) for 12 years in ISKCON Detroit before moving to Vrindavan in 1989, where he led the Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education (VIHE) for 21 years. He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Conflict Resolution and has trained judges and senior advocates under a Supreme Court of India project on mediation. He has lectured at Harvard Law School, MIT, and the American Bar Association and has published extensively in legal and negotiation journals. He co-founded ISKCONResolve in 2002 and has helped resolve hundreds of conflicts within ISKCON.

He was a brahmacari (monk) for 12 years, associated with the ISKCON temple in Detroit.
In 1989, he married Ananda Vrindavanesvari Devi and moved to Vrindavan, where he served for 21 years as the Director of the Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education.
He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Conflict Resolution and worked for three years on a Supreme Court of India project, training judges and senior advocates in mediation and conflict resolution.
He has lectured at Harvard Law School, the American Bar Association, and the Sloan School of Management (MIT) in the USA. He has also served as a professor at the University of Wales (UK) and has published several papers in journals, including the Harvard Negotiation Law Review, Negotiation Journal, and the Journal of the International Ombudsman Association.
He established the ombuds program at the United States Department of the Interior, where he served for 13 years. He retired from that position last year but continues as a consultant for several well-known organizations.
In 2002, he co-founded ISKCONResolve with Brahma Tirtha Prabhu, helping resolve hundreds of conflicts within ISKCON.
He now divides his time between Washington, D.C., and the Govardhan Retreat Center at Govardhan Hill.
